Default Sanyo wide angle lens

Hello all,

Is there anyway to adapt the Sanyo VCP-L06W wide angle lens to the Sanyo HD1000? The lens is designed as a push fit for the Sanyo HD2 and the HD1000 uses a screw thread. The HD1000 really needs a wide angle lens for indoor use and the VCP-L07W lens that I bought was comically too big. I bought the VCP-L06W lens and it's the perfect size but of course it doesn't fit. I prefer the VCP-L06W lens so much so that I'm thinking of selling the HD1000 and buying the older HD2.

I'd prefer not to sell as I really like the HD1000 but I need a wide angle lens.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Default Looking for VCP-L06W

Hi, found your post via Google search. I just bought a used Xacti HD1 and need that VCP-L06W! If you still have it, are you interested in selling it?

G'day BRumack

Go to the back of the Hoya filters catalogue and look at adapters for camera lenses without filter threads

Hoya make? [certainly used to make] a series of adapters for non-threaded lenses, whereby the adapter was held in place by 3 small finger screws, and then a filter would screw onto the other end. From memory, these adapters used 39mm then 46mm then 55mm filters as the size of the adapter increased in size

I guess that your ancillary lens would then match one of the filter-thread sizes to fit onto the camera itself

Hope this helps
