Thanks much Steve and ET.......

Sounds like i fell for the sales pitch.... My next call is to try and return them for a refund and seek out the acw & act-100... I'd like to keep things as compatible as possible and those lenses were made for the A2.

You guys are awesome.

Actually if you don't photograph landscapes and architecture A2's 28mm is already very good wide angle. Even without wide converter you're bound to get into situations when you see people taking steps backwards while you could actually go couple steps closer.
Reason why I originally bought wide converter was stormchasing/-spotting but it works also well for sunsets.

For ordinary "flat" landscapes taking multiple adjoining shots and combining them in panorama stithing software can give really great results with much better details.

(Konica)Minolta's own tele converter is really heavy (almost as much as camera) so Olympus TCON-17 could be really good alternative, it's considerably lighter, good quality and causes only slight hint of vignetting.
Here's good comparison of few non-dedicated tele converters.

And use this as guide for what memory cards you should buy.

If you have something to ask about A2 just send private message.
