It's funny how we all interpret a scene differently. I like this shot for the glow in the windows, and that it's not important for us to know what's outside. He is keeping vigil, and that is the point of the shot. Brilliant.
King does the same thing, and occasionally, when we spot a squirrel at the same time, I will open the door and watch the action. He always misses catching the squirrel, but he never stops trying.

Robert, that is so funny!! My dog Cody has the same fasination for squirls (aka - tree rats) too. He too has never caught one but it doesnt stop him either from trying, haha. He also loves jack rabbits.
