Posted in another forum as well and hadn't seen any feedback...This portrait is of Margo. I think I may have woken her from a nap... Anyhow, this was taken with D50 and a manual focus vivitar 28mm lens @ f2.8 1/8th sec. It's a touch soft - most likely due to the fact the lighting was dim/hard to focus + the camera was not on a tripod... photoshopped the background, cropped and played around to get a sepia effect.

Any I deas on how to make the background look more realistic up near her back - seems to sharp... I cloned the background in...

The softness of Margo doesn't bother me but I did sharpen her eyes a bit in this edit. I also softened up her back line to blend in a little better with the background. I did this by duplicatingthe layer in photoshop and then gaussian blurred it. Add a layer mask to the duplicate layer, fill with black and then paint with white using a soft brush (you may have to vary the opacity) along the line where her back meets with the background. Hope this helps a bit...this is a really nice image....
