Shooting around with the new XTi, I thought this made an interesting shot in sepia. Thoughts?

Good exposure and tasteful choice of sepia. I also liked the branches framing the top lefthandside of that neatimage. But!! I have to say that I have some concerns about the composition. You seem to havecaptured the building somewhereaboutits middle breakingits connectionto the ground.Well capturing some detail, a corner or a storey from an edifice disregarding the ground is quite ok as long as the partof thewhole is completein itself, IMHO. Please don't get me wrong. I'm no high authority of course. Just my sincere opinion.

Thanks for sharing, and keep on posting

Excellent thoughts and makes sense. I was torn between taking it all in, or capturing more of the detail. One of those "wish I could go back" shots. I've never shot architecture before so I do appreciate the comments.

Scott,

I like the moodyness (?) of this picture, also the picture quality and many other things.

Since I like It so much and often struggle with angles, I couldn´t resist give a try to straighten the house. It´s just a try. Take it for what it´s worth. Part of the charm with this picture is btw the not so straight angles
