Thanks, Bahadir. Actually, I may be selling the D40 soon in exchange for the Pentax K100D, which I bought a couple of days ago and should receive it by the end of the week. The D40 has many issues that bug the heck out of me with the two major ones being WB and metering. Then there is the high cost of lenses since they must have AF motor in them, and the list goes on. We'll see.

I'm sorry to hear your frustration about the D40on whichI have read many positive reviewsincluding that of the DP rewiews...Could you please elaborate the metering issue?Does ittend to overexpose? In fact I am interested to read the whole story, how you decided to get the Nikon, etc. Well, I wasone of those who seriously considered the D40. So, yourevaluationwill be highly appreciated!!
