I'm trying to decide on Nikon, Canon or Pentax. I've been trying to decide since the summer of '06. Right now I'm leaning towards the Pentax K100D or K10D, but have not decided for sure, yet.

I like the Pentax features, in camera shake reduction, K10D's sealing, dust reduction system, ruggedness, etc.

I like the D80, just wish it had some of these Pentax features. I also like the Canon 30D, but wish it had some of the Pentax features, although that metal body and 5 fps are impressive.

BTW, I think the Pentax colour saturation is better in your pix than the Nikon.

Andnow I think we should wait for the reviews of the D40x if they improved the Auto WB metering issues people often complain !!

Btw, thanks forthe feedback: )

I also handled that camera. Looks and feels very nice although it doesn't have a grip like the Pentax or the Nikon! My only concern was its 4/3 sensor. Still, the test shots I saw shows it handles noise pretty good.

Ok, I'll go there again forthe actual experience sometime next week!

Oh, I think I should bring a chocolate cake or sth. for the salesguys this time:G

Decisions, decisions, it is pretty difficult weighing all the good and bad in dslrs. I know you will make the best choice that fits your needs.

Indeed. The right instrument makes it easier, but what counts is having an eye for the image.

Bob, Cubs & Barbarian thank you for your kind support in my search.

Initially Iregardedphotos as an auxiliary elementfor myoccupation involving books, articles and lectures. Yet, in time I witnessed the shift of ends and means!!

Well, how true! Asoften stated, it is not the camera which takes photos, but the person...The risk of becoming a gadget freak is so real:G
