Default Hotel Mozart

This is an Hotel in Milan, Italy.

The image is made up of two layers.

The first one is a shot of some clouds I took just before a storm was beginning.
I have corrected it with Levels till I was satisyed.

The second one is made up by a cut and paste of the Hotel corner and of the Street Lamp.
By the way the left part of the hotel was a little bit oversaturated so it has been completly selected and corrected with the Brightness/Contrast tool.

The lens flares comes form the standard PS Lens Flare Effect.
I was in doubt to add it or not ( it is a rather overused effect) but finally decided for it because I liked the colors of the flares together with the sky.

Sergio,

Overall great effort. You've become an artist at PS

I agree that the flares do add to the overall effect but completely convinced that the halo around the street light is eefctive. It seems out of place with the rest of the picture - don't know exactly why. Probably just a personal idosyncracy.

Brtsergio, normally I am blown away by your pictures, and normally I agree with the people who post often on this group, but this time I have to disagree. I think the photo came out looking unrealistic. The light pole and background look totally photoshopped. But I'm glad others like it and it's great to have fun with these projects and learn something while doing them.

Well, I don't think that the point of this photo is to be realistic. At least for me.
