This is a shot i took this weekend when i was in venice in the Palazzo Ducale. The first is the original shot, the second i adjusted a bit
![]() ![]() what do you think? all coments welcome as i'm still learning to us photoshop i know there isn't too much difference, but i don't want it to look too fake using too much contrast |

I've been there three years ago so it was a nice nostalgia shot for me. I thnk I like the orignal better. Be careful not to use the contrast adjust to liberally. I find that I can up the lightness of the image a bit and just a smidging of contrast and then increase the saturatin by 15 to 20 to get fantastic results. I can see that your contrast adjustment elminated information in the highlights that are now pure white.

I agree, the adjustment did wipe out some of the fine detail. I vote for the original, warts and all.

Side by side I like them both, though the original appeals a bit more as the colors are not as saturated. If they were not together I would not know any difference.

Nice shots both. I like the first one best for the natural colors.
(been there many years ago and in Venice this summer) Cropping the bottom of the floor away would make a palace of a difference
