actually their both good. i'd add a touch of grain to the sepia one to age it a little. it looks too good for a sepia type image. but as usual it's just my opinion.

SoundEngineer,
The color shot is better than the sepia IMO.
For one thing the pedestrian cannot be easily distinguished from the scenery in the sepia. I think the pedestrian contributes quite a bit to the ambiance of the photo.

Additionally, the colors are qute vibrant and thus add significantly to the photo. If the colors had been muted or not very vibrant then a black and white image with lots of contrast might have been better.

Note that these are pretty personal preferences.

I like both for different reasons.

The first one because of the colour. Beautiful!

The second one because it disguises the shadow/dark lane way.

I wish our city had character like yours does.

Excellent work!

I also like both.
The first one because it depicts the colours of fall- changing of seasons.
The second one because it has a certain "old world" charm to it.

I think the architecture is more emphasized in the second one but as I said, they're both terrific!

Hi Sound Engineer__

I like both also

The only thing I might suggest is a minimal crop on the left to
remove the rain gutter ? at top left of photograph.

It it were removed, then the vertical lines and shadows
on the left & right of the photograph would be enhanced
imho.

Both very peaceful, Sound Engineer
