Default New and old in Dundee

It would be pleasing if this curious skyline represented harmonious inter-faith relations. Sadly, while the two churches are indeed fine old Christian places of worship, in the UK these 'Mecca' buildings are a widespread chain of bingo halls, i.e., mild gambling dens, and therefore represent worship of a far less satisfactory sort.

Apologies for the spurious foreground intrusions, which could be cloned out if desired.

Here is a yet more bizarre juxtaposition which presented itself as I strolled through the town centre, hoping unsuccessfully to ascend the square tower in the first shot, which is sometimes open to the public.

Alan,

doesn't seem to be a suitable location for advanced, adventurous city "in between buildings flying"

Aaah, very funny. "Mild gambling dens" Worship of Mammon. Mecca.

The inter-faith relation: islam doesn't allow certain kinds of handling of money, for example interest rate whereas there are cultures with a keen interest in what comes out from the lower regions

Freud ....

No. I'll stop with that. Very entertaining pictures, Alan
