It is close for the winter I think, when we got there around 3pm gantry was close. Normal it does not close till 6pm.

never made it to NYC. but after seeing all the beautiful pics posted here, i think i may have to make the trip over. the bridge shots are great.

I was testing a used lens I just picked up. So I set the ef 28mm to 1.8 most of the time at 1/4000 sec on most of the bridge shots. If I stop down with longer time I think they would turn out better. But I wanted to see how the 1.8 compares to my old 2.8

i <3 my 85 1.8, but thats what it was, i would usually shoot 3 or 4ish on a day like that outside.

I have some photos of my wife stop down to 2.8 and 3.5 and they turn out very nicely. I was expecting some soft focus shooting at 1.8. But I was still very please with the results. It is a much better lens then my old 28mm 2.8 I got rid of.
