Default Ornaments

Most of the old Lower East Side, now known as the East Village was contructed around the turn of the century (err, 19th century to 20th century). And they had people who really took pride in what they build. Most of these old buildings are ornamented. Barely visible from the street, nevertheless that are always quite interesting.

Took these pictures from across the street, and the quality is poor. 100 percent crops or smaller. One building was shot from my third floor window.

At any rate, here are the tiny crops of these ornaments - There are five buildings being shown, with two ornaments from each.

(Of course I could go out there with my telephoto, and take better images, but for some reason I suspect people would think I'm being a "peeping Tom." )
