Default First Presbyterian, Galesburg, IL

Wife and I were visiting Sat. We came around a corner, saw the light on the bell tower and she just pull the car over without my saying a word.

Very nice shot of a very clean building.

I notice there are no powerlines to obstruct the view as they do most old churches around my area.

Thanks for your comments. The Galesburg historic area has very little in the way overhead wiring. One still has to work around other things like traffic signs/lights, fire hydrants and so forth. I do have to go back another day as there are six old but maintained/active churches within a about a block and a half of this one that seem like opportunities.

On a slightly OT note the Galesburg Orpheum theater was a standin for the Ford Theater in a recent Lincoln biopic/investigative show shot for TV. The Orpheum should be on my to do list as well.
