G'day mate

Ya gotta rememba matey - "werk iz the curse of the drinking class..."

I like the first ones - wonderful windows, but wow - how many bricks were made, by whom, and laid by hand by skilled workers to create that artistic maze

Regards, Phil

i also really like the first one... not only the brickwork, but the differences in the windows themselves... different heights and sizes, different pane arrangements, at least one bricked in... fascinating piece of history there.

G'day, Phil,

Really funny quote. Oscar Wilde? Correct - those drops are precious (dear). Brick buildings have always fascinated me. Lot of work done - result mostly great

Regards, Torgny

This brick wall is from a newly built house - recycling old bricks, I'm told

Rocky,

The wall is from the inner yard of a Sugar Mill. Yes, the building has a long and winding (sinuous?) story. In the vincinity there was the Carnegie Porter Brewery

The porter is still manufactured, by Carlsberg, under it's original name Carnegie Porter. It's very dark and nourishing.

This is the Sugar Mill exterior

Steve,

Sorry, don't know, but I can guess that it has been copper plates earlier. Now it has the colour of oxidated copper, but probably it's some kind of "Ersatz"
