Driving home the lights caught my attention so I pulled over, whipped out my tripod and took some pics.

Hi there;

This is one of my favorite kind of shots. There's something about the way industrial sites are lit up that is really dramatic. These don't have any disturbing glares... The mercury vapour lights that are so popular here can really burn out a photo.

Which Duke Power plant is that one? My brother lives near one in South Carolina, it's the only nuclear plant I've ever seen up close.

i'd guess that's not a nuclear power plant - probably coal fired.

you really can't tell from the pictures what kind of plant it is. I'd be surprised if you could get that close to a nuke plant. Could be coal. Could be natural gas.
