I took this Friday evening. I was dying to get out and use my new A95 that was a couple hours in my possession. I should have bought more batteries as I would have like to get some night shots of my State's capitol. Next time out, with better batteries, I won't have to rush taking pics.

Both are very nice. Excellent lighting on the second - has kind of an eerie feel to it.

You brought back some fond memories of my visit to Lincoln about 11 years ago now. Wish I had the camera I have now back then. Also wish I could revisit the diner I remember visiting there - "The Garden Cafe" was it? Their Grand Floridian Waffle has entered into my personal folklore.

I remember driving towards Lincoln and being able to see this building for miles. I also remember commenting what it looked like to my wife, which she then went on to confirm by telling me the local nickname for the tower and what the name of the statue was on the top :-)

Ahh yes, you've heard of the nickname of our capitol building  The Garden Cafe is still here. I'm not sure if they still offer that legendary waffle though.
