In the canyon of the Pariah River in southern Utah is an old movie set that is slowly being restored and converted into a public park. Over 200 movies were filmed at this location. There is a serious problem at this location which is evident in some of the photos. The spring rains and summer winds are eroding the ground away from under the buildings. They are attempting to shore them up before the buildings collapse but at the time (five years ago) money for the project was limited.

These are typical movie sets in that they are empty shells. The interior scenes were shot on a studio sound stage. A couple of interior shots show that the buildings have been used for many different purposes. There is evidence of a stairway which is no longer there.

The young lady in two of the photos is my wife.

As you look at the photos, notice the hills in the background. This is typical of the terrain in southern Utah and northern Arizona.

NOw woulldn't that be a fun place to play!! Do you have any shots of the rock behind the building??? I can see stripes !
