The legend says that when the Cathedral was finished, the people didn't realize how to put the big Bell on the tower. The Bell was to heavy and the tower to heigth. Then they left the Bell on the ground.

In the middle of the nigth, the Angels took the Bell and flying they put it in its place, on the tower.

Since then, the city is called "Puebla de los Angeles" or Angelopolis

There's a basilica in my neighborhood that has a dome surrounded by statues of angels, each holding a horn in front of it's mouth. The urban legend is that the horns are gradually getting closer, and on the day of armageddon they will sound.

I don't know where stories like that come from, but I bet they help fill the collection plates.

Lackawanna, NY.

The second link has a link to an interactive, 360 panoramic inside the church.

I have some pictures somewhere that I took myself that could probably show the angel statues closer, but it would take some digging.
