Here I would like to share the tranquilty of a late winter's afternoon from Konak square in Izmir. She's got a very nice climate with many a sunny days indeed.You can see the hundred year old clock tower and other edifices (alas, devoured by an example of false city planning or non planning!!). Taken with a canon a510 at automatic mode, F/4, 1/1000,pattern.

The old and new buildings seem to co-exist nicely. I also love the stone and brick work in the sidewalks. This really looks like a lovely city.

She does... I assure you. The city names after a queen of Amazons, the women worriors who had played an active role at Trojan war on the side of the Trojans.
