I went down to Lichfield Cathedral last night after having a meal with friends in the city, and was amazed that it wasnt lit up, unusual for a main cathedral in England. This was the only corner light enough to take a shot, illuminated by a nearby streetlight.

So nice to see these typical gothic sculptures with unworldly looks in their niches at nighttime. I must say I find you very fortunate having such splendid gothic cathedral from the medieval times around where you live just after lunch, in Staffordshire. I belive only a full session would do justice for this great historical edifice.
Duty calls on you :-)
