I just bought a flash and some batteries, and a battery charger... the last two are Energizer brand. While I won't be able to use them for a while (if you want to know why, just read the post

I'll be using them eventually, so...

So, when I read very negative commentaries about the Energizer batteries in the following thread:

I started wondering IF my Energizer charger can be used with other brand of rechargeable batteries as well. The model I own is pretty quick (15 minutes for four A4 batteries), so I intend to use this one, not change it.

Some people say that if you buy rechargeable A4 batts from other brand (and with the same chemistry, of course) you can recharge it, but OF COURSE Energizer warns you you should use ONLY Energizer batteries.

Thanks for the information you can provide me here.

Yes, you can!

I have tested this out both ways. I have charged Maha batteries in an energizer charger, and energizer batteries in a Maha charger. Further details at http://servaas.com.au/blog/do-i-have...-maha-charger/
