Hi, just invested in 2 KLIC8000 batteries and a charger. Any experience out there on how long a fully charged KLIC8000 can sit 'on the shelf' and retain a good charge. Lots of good reading in this forum about batteries for the z712. I have also been told that there is no such thing as a charger for AA lithiums which I understand will also work in the z712. In any case I plan on carrying a non rechargeable (still in the bubble wrap) lithium CRV3 as a backup. thanks for reading. glennj

I have not done formal test but I can share my current practice. When I remove one of my KLIC8000s from the camera and replace it with a previously charged KLIC8000 I charge the removed battery at the next convenient opportunity. It then goes back in my case for the next swap. Using that sequence I have not yet had to fall back on my CVR3s while shooting.
