of video right out of the package. That't right – my new set of 4 Sanyo Eneloop AA Size 1.2V Rechargeable 2000mAh NiMH Batteries just would not stop "cranking out video" after I installed them in my Canon PowerShot S5 IS.
I stopped keeping track of the time after 100 minuites but they stopped shortly thereafter. I only began using these batteries recently and have been very impressed with there performance. Is there any other brand out there that can exceed this and/or has better performance?

I don't think so, the eneloops are hard to beat in terms of low self discharge and performance.

I tested my Sanyo 2700s in my A710 IS (2 AAs) using video and I got 3.5 hours and 14 gigs of recording before they quit.
- Seven 1/2 hour sessions over 2 days with good breaks in between - about 10mins at 640/30fps (1gig) and 20mins at 640/15fps (1 gig) filling a 2 gig card every 1/2 hour session. Having said that, I mostly use my Eneloops because I don't tend to be that heavy a user (1 set of batts lasting a month or two at a time). |
