Out of curiosity. When charging a new EN-EL3e the charging is done when the red light stops blinking correct? Or does the light have to turn green as well?

Just finished charging my 2nd EN-EL3e (or I'm assuming I have). Don't recall when I removed my first battery from the charger. If there was a non-blinking red light or if it had turned green.

My charger pilot light always stays red. It stops blinking when the battery is charged.

Hey Bob. As I thought.

Had checked on my battery last night a few hours later. Indicator light had stopped blinking and remained red. Never turned green. Odd. You'd think in designing a charger that they would have it turn green when charged as is the norm. Any how...

Red LEDs are cheaper! Red/green LEDs are really two LEDs, back to back so would cost more.

Bob Nichol in stereo STEREO!! Thought you were kidding about the costs of the red/green lights for a sec. Just found it odd that Nikon would cheap out here. They make great well throughout products otherwise.

Ok onto other topics. Happy shooting! Cya next year when I'm back in TO neighbor.
