Agree with you on the C-204f. Great charger.

Thomas Distributing that advertises at this site is worth visiting. Even if you do not buy anything you will be better informed on batteries after. Kind of like a digicam electrical toy store.

Default Lithium batteries vs NiMh

I recently purchased a Minolta dimage 7i. I've tried the NiMh batteries that come with it and can get about 200 frames between charges. Not too bad. However, I also tried a set of Lithium AA's. They cost about $10 for a set of four. They are not rechareable, however, they worked great. I've shot over 400 frames so far with no indication that they are exhausted. I think the Lithium will work fine as my back up for those times I run out of juice on my NiMh's or when I just forget to charge them up.

I called Minolta tech support and they told me that the Lithium batteries are OK to use.

Anybody have any experience using these batteries ?

The Lithium disposable AAs are great in the cold as well - at least down to 0F/-18C where my fingers stop working. They do not have as long a shelf life as I thought. After sitting on the shelf for a year in an unheated shack, they seem to have lost almost half their power.
