Recently I bought HP R707- two accu's in the box. I saw somwhere in the manual that HP recommends to extract the accu from the camera if you do not use it for a long time. Does anybody know what HP long time is ? My accu's are completely discharged just after one night. The camera is switched off durring the night, the accu was recharged, and only a couple of shots were taken..

So far I made less than 2000 shots using those two accu's.

Is this normal ?

Thank you,

Hello Yuri,

This doesn't sound normal to me. Are you sure you shut the camera off?

I believe long term storage is considered over 30 days, but I have no documentation for that assumption. The batteries (outside of the camera) are good for several years of storage.

It sounds like you have some kind of draw even when things are shut off.
