Well, there is a silhouette there but you can barely see. I would have to qualify this shot as a night shot and not a silhouette.

I agree this doesn't work very well as a silhouette. It loses a lot in the conversion and I feared it would be pretty dark on the web. The foreground subject(my wife) is much more visible on my desktop as well as more stars in the sky.

Please explain what you mean by "it loses a lot in the conversion". What type of conversion are you referring to? I fear you may be doing something wrong that we may be able to help you fix.
