Took these pictures about a week ago as I was testing my new TCON-14B tele converter (excellent lens BTW).

I like the "reality"of the first shot showing the frayed edges of the flag. I thought they weren't supposed to be displayed like that.

Thanks, Selvin. Yes, I agree with you about the frayed edges. This flag sits at the top of a building and unless you look through a zoom lens or binoculars, you can't tell those details.

Nice shots of the flags. Since you know the building where the torn flag is located, could you stop in or call someone there and suggest they replace.

However, I am reminded of a Johnny Cash song, "The Ragged Old Flag". In that song, he relates early American history where the flag was attacked but always stood strong.
