Love the composition. A slight lens flare is the only nitpik. I personally don't mind them but others are relentless in getting rid of them.

Wonder what it would like if the sun were closer to the mountains.

Cheers

photo taken with a nikon d70s kit at 48mm, f/25 ,1/320 shutter and -1.3ev. i really dont mind flares that much either. i have pics when the sun was closer to the mountains but the boat left and it just isn't the same.

Lovely image. Colors and composition are well balanced. However, as Selvin pointed out, the sun seems to be way too high in the sky (much more than 6 degrees).

Good shot. I'd like to see some of your other shots. Even without the boat I can envision a very serene shot with the lake, mountains, and the torii silhouetted in the foreground.

Well, pooey on you other guys! I like it even if the sun is too high in the sky. I think I would have tried to clone out that sun spot but that is a personal preference.

Nice peaceful scene.

Although the orange tone of the skyis more intense on the second shot, I still prefer the first. The boat adds a lot to the overall composition and sets the mood of the place.Sorry I can not be much of a help when it comes to photo editing.
