[align=left]Great luck this afternoon - rare clouds to highlight Eilat's sky during sunset.

Red Sea,

Not sure why you made the comment "rare clouds". Did you mean they were a rare formation of just the fact of hving clouds was rare in Eilat?

Because of the limited cloud formation the brilliance of the sunset is subdued. However, the lighting is very nicely captured.

[align=left]Eilat is very arid with barely 2 inches of rain annually and very seldom do we see a cloud in the sky. The city is surrounded by granite and sandstone mountains and tropical sea. Every couple of years, we will have flash flooding if there is heavy rain north of the city or over Aqaba, Jordan. So when you see a cloud, get the camera ready quickly.

Nice job and an interesting story. Thanks for telling us.

I have two requests for you. First, please limit the size of the images you post to a maximum of 800 pixels for the long dimension (width, in this case). This makes it easier for our members with dialup connection to download the picture.

Second, I encourage you to update your forum profile with your location. To do this, click "My Account" at the top of the page and then click on "Profile"

Thanks for participating.

Cal
