Hello all again.

This photo taken in a remote hill-side area of Transylvania (Romania).

Very typical rural scene here. I had the weekly photo challenge in mind, so I just HAD to take this photo.. the tree was just SO deep red and the sky perfectly blue (having a polariser on my Canon XT /350D's kit lens helped off course!)

Those hay stacks are the produce of many days' work (growing grass, cutting it, stacking it, etc). And with the grass slowly going yellowish (loosing the summer green) I thought that also added to the combination of autumn / fall colours.

Beautiful photo. Thank you so much for sharing some information on processing of the hay.

Vanessa,

Well I must admit the colours were stunning, I was just glad to be there (right place right time) to catch it! Thanks for looking.

Cal,

Thanks. I don't feel I did justice explaining a process in a sentence or two that takes many rural people here in Romania most of their working time!! Still yes, it shows the differences of processes adopted between more developed and developing countries. E.g. where I grew up in Australia, NO ONE cuts acres of fields by HAND (anymore) as far as I know. But it's a lot to do with economics, I know (also as I'm a charity worker as well as having a business degree).

I'm glad you like the photo too.
