Is that frost on the background trees? It looks like what we call hoarfrost. I like the look of trees with just a few leave left. I have been looking for years to find a tree with just one leaf left on it to photograph. I think that would be a great shot.

Carl thats a pond in the background. What causes the effect are the out of focus reflections from the pond.

Philby, FYI, the name is Cal, not Carl. My screen name is calr which is a shortcut for Cal Rasmussen. You are not the first to call me Carl. It has happened many times.
