Excellent! This shot illustrates how something we take for granted is actually a complex structure and has many steps in its manufacture.

Yours is much better than mine. (Light on the subject) I don't think I could get that close in with my lens.

I tried to photograph a moth that seems frozen on the outside of the window this morning and I just can't get it. Tried from the inside as I'm not ready to brave the cold yet. It's warmed up some since last night - it's 24ยบ now. But, at least the wind isn't blowing any more.

I'll start a new thread on the moth issue. I want to know what I'm doing wrong.

Thank you all!

Nhmom, I first saw your picture and tryed to find my old bulb pictures.

Finally I started to take new photos.

I used 350 Rebel +Sigma 70-300 APO DG MACRO+ Kenko extension tubes + tripod + remote control +a lot of time + LEDs + suicide thoughts because of the bad results.....

Vidiac - You didn't need to have the suicide thoughts. You did a fantastic job! Wish I had some of the equipment you had to attempt this. I may try again tomorrow in between gingerbread house decorating.

I almost picked up some close-up filters today. But, got to the store 15 minutes after they closed.
