I have a Fuji S2 Pro, and a Nikkor 35-80mm F 4-5.6 lens. I bought a reversing adapter. I had the lens at F22 and at 80 mm when I took this shot of a class ring. I used the in camera flash with a paper in front of the flash to diffuse it some...how did I do with this macro?

Looks good to me, especially considering the contour of the ring.

Ya done good, kid! Very good. I have read the discussions of the reverse lens technique on the Closeups forum. I think I understand it but it scares me a bit. That little adapter ring has to support the weight of a lens. The filter ring on the front of a lens was never intended to support that much weight.

Discussion aside, I have seen some great shots rendered with the reverse lens technique.

Thank you. Hi praise indeed! I am honored. :idea:I read this tutorial about a "poor man's macro" and decided to order the adapter....worked pretty well....I can't wait till the ants come back in the spring to take some portraits of them!!!

Looks great to me. That must have been difficult with the curve of the ring.
