This is a small feather I found on the road in front of my house. People riding by thought I was probably dead, as I was lyingon my stomach in the ditch trying to get the DOF right. donna

Lovely shot, Donna. I love the backlighting, shadows, and especially that single blade of grass penetrating through the middle. Good work.

Now to complete the scene, we need the police cars and ambulances with their lights flashing!

Donna, I would have picked it up and moved it to my yard, or somewhere.......probably wouldn't have been as interesting a shot.....nor as much entertainment for the neighbors....:?

Lovely shot, Donna.

I know the feeling of wondering what the neighbors must be thinking. Back in September I was trying to get some close up shots of the underside of a mushroom in our yard. I was doing the same thing. Lying on the grass on my stomach in my front yard and I swear every one of my neighbors had to drive by in the 15 minutes I was out there! It was quite embarrassing. But, well worth it, as I won a second place ribbon at the fair for the series.
