That's what they make Castor Oil out of. If you never had the pleasure of taking a tablespoon of Castor Oil a day, count your blessings. When I was a kid, Castor Oil was a preventative for many things. The seed pods of the Castor Bean plant look much like the item being identified in this thread. The seeds are highly toxic if eaten but the seed pods make great ammo for a kid's mini war!

In tennessee, where I'm from, we call thoes gum balls. and when there green you can really ring someones bell with one.
