actually, i currentlylive in Kirkland, which is right across the lake, but for a number of years i called Seattle home... this is the quintessential "Seattle" photo, taken from Kerry Park on the south slope of Queen Anne Hill, looking across the city skyline with Mt. Rainier in the background...

Beautiful photo! I must remember that location for the next time I go to Seattle (Next Summer, perhaps). I recognize several landmarks, not the least of which are the Space Needle and Mt Rainier but also the arches of Pacific Science Center (former World Fair site) and a sports stadium. I was looking for the Experience Music Project (EMP) but figured out that it is just out of the picture to the left. Pike's market just out of sight to the right along with the waterfront.

I love the evening color. It gives everything in the photo new life!

Cal

This is quite spectacular. I'd really like to go there someday. When I was in Vancouver last year, I could see Mt. Baker - how far would that be from your area?

Mt. Baker is about 150 miles north...

Postcard perfect! The long shadows give great contrast.

Everything is beautiful about this. The colors, the composition. Just lovely.
