The mistletoe is heavy in the trees this year. Mistletoe is a parasitic shrub that grows on broad-leaved trees like apple and poplar.

Great shots. As with Selvin, I'm sure many people did not know how or where Mistletoe grows. When I was in high school, I lived in Sacramento and we used to see a lot of Mistletoe growing (preying?) on the big old Oak trees around the area. However, it was not nearly as abundant as in the first photo here.
