Part of the fence around the US Embassy in Ottawa. I don't recall why the flag is at half mast. Photo was taken in summer 2004.

Spectacular shot! This shot reminds me of a very similar view I shot of the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). The buildings are different and the fence is different but the angle, the reflecting glass and the general feeling of the scene is similar.

I like this shot but don't be surprised if you get some comments that the focus of this scene is not the fence but rather the buildings. One of my photos was critiqued in this manor and the person was correct.

You're right Cal about the focus of the shot being the buildings. Thanks for your feedback.

I agree with Cal, but I do believe they compliment each other...with the fence in front of the building it doesnt get lost.

Becasue of the angle of the shot the fence does seem to take second place. Nonetheless, well done!

Nice shot Garlam, in June of 2004 President Ronald Reagan died and flags were to be flown at half mast for 30 days after.

Garlam, here is one of the shots I was talking about. Do you see the similarity to your photo? Totally different locations. Totally different buildings. However, the layout, shooting angle, fence angle, are very similar. I hope you don't mind me posting this in your thread. Besides, it has a fence in it!
