There are many beautiful places to stand or sit at the temple. I was working on a front on photo when calr posted his photo. Even the big loud bell is calming, if you are not standing next to someone ring a big bell.

Beautiful shot, DAZ. You were lucky and got some sunshine! My photos were taken under an overcast sky. Good work.

Daz,

Very nicely done! Cal is right you got lucky. The winward side of the island where this was taken rains very frequently and it is cloudy on many days of the year.

The railing seems to shout "Welcome" or as the Japanese say, "Irasshaimasen."

Aloha

Thanks cal and selvin. It was a good day for photos. The valley of temples is a very pretty place. It is easy to take good photos when you have good material to work with. That day was sunny, little to no wind and just enough clouds to give the sky character. It was a little to clam. I was out looking for some surf. All around the island it was only about 1 foot. I have told that is a little unusual. With no surf I thought I would take a glider ride instead. At the airport they told me that there was no glider rides that day. To little wind and from the wrong direction. They said it only happens like 10 days out of the year. Oh well, bad for surf and gliding but a good day for photography. There is a lot to see on the islands but I only had the one day. Maybe I will get a change for another trip in the future.
