This is around the Water Tower in Chicago yesterday. The Santa's are part of a movie that was being shot.

This wall is designed to keep the snow off the hedges when the streets are plowed. So far this year it hasn't been put to the test.

Nice shots, Bill. I like the first one best. I like the pattern it creates.

I have seen a variety of snow fences but nothing like that in the second shot.

I also like the first one. You've even got that mini fence on the left that seems to be around a pond or something.

Nice shot.

Bill,

I agree the Santas add anice colorful emphasis. If you recall there's an American girl Doll shop nearby andI would often watch the young kids (exclusively girls) look in the windows drooling at the dolls.

The area has a number of street musicians who are pretty good as far as street musicians go.

Aloha and thanks for bringing back some memories.

Cal,
Thanks for the nice comments. I'm trying to mostly post new shots that meet the challange rather than digging through my collection and it's particularly tough with the short, cloudy days.

Selvin,
I've spent more than a few dollars at American Girl in years past. Nowadays it's clothes and cars. (ouch!)

nhmom,
Here's a longer shot to help place the scene. It's around the old Water Tower. I shot it through a window so it's got some reflections in it.

Thanks, Bill. I'll bet those gardens are lovely in the spring time.
