Before I lose power from a downed tree in my yard...... I can hear the branches struggling and crackling under the ice covering as I sit here.

Here is a fence taken today on my lunch hour. It is almost like Dr Zhivago here. Everything is covered in ice. It was beautiful tonight on the way home with the street lights shining on all the ice. But, no safe places to stop the car and photograph.

I'll see if I have any ice related fence photos.

Nice capture! Do you happen toknow why the fence was built like this? It seems like some one just lost a chunk of land.

Thanks, everyone.

Tullio - I think they just built the fence that way to be different. It's actually the entry way to a fancy subdivision. One that is actually better traveled than I would have thought. We were therein the subdivision about 20 minutes and we must have had 20 cars go by.

vsch1 - Yes, I like the farmhouse in the background, too. That was one of the reasons I shot at that angle. I can't see the photo right now to know if you can tell from it, but the farmhouse is actually across the street from the turn off for this subdivision.
