Here's another view of the fence in the other direction showing the birch tree in the center that is heavily laden with ice. There was blue sky at lunch time, but by the time I left work it was overcast again. Tonight is supposed to be the coldest yet.

A few friends either lost power for a while yesterday or still have no power after more than 24 hours. Knock on wood -we haven't lost ours. Yet at least! The thermometer outside my window is reading 10ºF.

You have had quite the weather the lst few days. we didn't get anything but the cold this morning. Ice on trees si so lovely, yet so dangerous. I hope your friends get power soon and that you keep yours.

Thanks, all. I prefer the other one, too. I just liked the way the sky was in this one.

Well, the temp this morning was sitting at -4º when I left for work. The high was +13º. Whoo hoo it went up 17 degrees. The ice might melt tomorrow as we are having a heat wave at 25º. Most of the people I knew without power are back on now. Although, one still isn't and has broken water pipes in his home. I feel very, very lucky. We just have an ice skating rink for a driveway.

I think I can find some items for #2 of our next challenge!
