It took me awhile to figure out what I was looking at. At first, I thought the image was rotated 90 degrees CCW. Then I spotted the railing at the top which seemed to indicate the orientation was correct.

This photo needs something to give it perspective. Perhaps a wide angle shot from the same location to give a better indication of what we are looking at. I see a lot of ice formations and flowing water at the lower right.

This shot has possibilities but, as it stands, I don't care for it because I don't understand everything that is going on.

Cal

Hmm, took me a minute to figure it out...cal paved the way for me. Maybe a wider view would have made it a bit easier.

Since this is a rare sight to me I wasn't as befuddled as Cal and Vanessa. It looked pretty in a strange sort of way, yes the cold is troubling to a fellow from the tropics.

Aloha.

I like the colors (though a bit on the dark side) but I think the cropping is a bit tight. I imagine this image is for the ice sculpture item on the list but I can't seem to find the actual sculpture.

Here is the wider view. The trouble with it is you loose the detail. I will post another view from a different locationunder "Mountain Dam Revisited".

Now, that's a great picture! I really like the angle you chose, philby.
