Here is the stained glass window above the altar in the same church. This photo was taken from the choir loft level with the window in the back of the church. I used the largest zoom I had available at the time. Will have to go back with my new camera, but won't be any time soon. It is a 10 hour drive in good weather.

The colors look beautiful but I think because of the zoom and I assume no tripod there was a bit of shaking.

Aloha

Selvin, I had not brought my tripod with me, but I did set the camera on the ledge of the balcony. It might be due to the low light conditions and the cropping. Here was the original shot.

A beautiful composition but a bit fuzzy. It appears that auto-focus, if used, didn't work in this case. Sometimes, the auto-focus engine can be rather finnicky. Moreso in some cameras than others. If you have manual focus, you might try that next time.

Thanks, vsch1 and Cal. The photo wasa couple of years ago and I believe it was cloudy that day. We had snow that weekend.

Thanks for the tip, Cal. I can't remember if I shot it in auto mode or manual. I thought I had some other shots taken a different trip, but I can't seem to locate them. I do findwith my new camera that I'm resorting to manual focus sometimes.

Here is another scan of the window. I knew I had some other photos some where. Hopefully this one shows it better.

Beautiful art work. I personally like the one showing the Altar. The close-up of thewindow makes it look like the inside of a kaleidoscope.

I took the liberty and adjusted theWB and sharpenedthe second photoa little bit. Hope you don't mind!

Thanks, Tullio. No, I don't mind. I'm not that experienced with white balance yet and was afraid if I started playing with it I'd mess up the window.
