The first shot is local McDonalds near my house. Note the small golden Ms that are used. There's a local ordinance that forbids any large advertising signs. Thus no billboards in paradise. My aplogies but I couldn't wait around long enough for all the cars to clar out of the parking lot. The homes on the hill are three million $s plus...

This second shot taken a few years ago while I was in Chicago near the Home of the Cubs (Wrigleville) I saw this McDonals sign. There's no actual Wigleville but the local community has sort of named the area Wrigleyville.

Nice job, Selvin. The building in the first shot is a design I have not seen. However, I am not surprised. In recent years, all the McDonald's in the Portland metro area have been remodeled and no two are the same. They all have different architectural themes inside and out. There is one in Hillsboro, about ten miles west of where I live, that looks like a South Pacific island steel shack. Before remodeling, it looked like a small but conventional modern McDonald's.

Vanessa, Cal, Thanks for your ccomments.

I think Hawaii gets a bit of leeway in its McDonalds (different menus, designs, etc) probably because of it's remoteness.

Aloha
