In SoCal, we call um "toasters"...not "wheely box"

Cutest car on the road since the original Mini Cooper!

I saw a license plate yesterday that would be appropriate for this vehicle, "BOXCAR"!

OK, Cal....no comment about the "toast"? .....humorless?

I think the most "ugly" car on the road right now is a PT Cruser....Maybe the "most ugly" statement should be avoided, altogether!

This is a funny image, Kita.I personally don't care for this car but it is appealing to a lot of people.

Thanks, Tullio....

I hoped to lighten up some peoples day!

BTW, this car is 2415 lbs, 66.5" wide, 155.3" long and 64.6" hi, which, with the possible exception of height, puts it right in there, for "small car" consideration with the Ghia, Bug and Mini Cooper described in Imaginat's post.

I wasn't sure whether to continue this thread or not but I think it needs to continue.

I own one of those "ugly" PT Cruisers! It is not my favorite car of all time but it is not due to the appearance but rather due to it grossly underpowered engine.

I think the retro look of the PT is more appealing to the "Baby Boomer" generation. Back in the 40s and 50s, cars were much more curved and round. I think the PT Cruiser brings back some of that look along with "raked" appearance. For those not familiar with that term, back in the 50s and 60s it was a popular fad to lower the front end of a car and raise the rear. It gave the appearance of a hot rod and speed!

BTW, in the Scion photo, how did you get the toast? Are those large models of toast attached to the top of the car or normal sized toast added in PS?

TO EACH THEIR OWN...

I personally like the xB and am not a big fan of the PT.
I don't own either, in fact, when people ask what I drive... My answer is usually followed bytheir response,"What's that?"

This is my Solara, they are pretty common, but people don't readily recognise them by the name.

Well, Cal, I guess I did a pretty good job, if you have to ask is it photoshop or not. Thanks!

It is photo shop (I know that's not supposed to be allowed, but with your xB comments from Imaginat's post, I just couldn't resist! My kids had been giving me a hard time about my "Toaster", a couple of years ago, so I did this "Image" to humor them. I remembered doing it and was lucky enough to find it on my hard drive.....so, here it is!

I remember "raked". Didn't it also used to be called "deigoed" (sp?)

Well, this has gotten far enough off topic (but fun, nonetheless!) and I think it is time to close this discussion. Let's get back to shooting and posting photos for the challenge.

Thanks, all.
