Leong,

Welcome to the challenge. Merlion = ?? Is that the staue or the entire structure.

A most interesting piece of sculpture. Have my doubts whether or not it would make it to a postcard as you have it composed now. The throngs of people on the walkway tends to distract from the sculpture.

I see that you had a bit of a problem with the background lighting. Some of that can be fixed via software. Take a look at postcards in your local stationery store and you will note they tend to be very color saturated and the composition tends to focus on one big item.

Aloha and thanks for sharing.

I absolutely agree with Selvin's comments. Nice picture but not attractive enough as a post card.

Thanks Selvin, points taken.
Merlion is the statue, a fish body with a lion head.
Here's a close look shoot on a month ago.

Leong,

The second shot I think will make a much better postcard. It draws attention to the statue and it's characteristics are much more evident, good work. Some text and a frame would make it even more appealing.

Aloha
