Here is a shot of the outdoor swimming pool at Hearst Castle located in San Simeon, CA. The pool is maintained in pristine condition but is seldom used.

Scanned 35 mm negative.

Cal,

I heard quite a bit about the Hearst Castle but didn't realize how much money was spent on bad taste (totally personal statement).

It does look quite imposing and I think you shot goes a long away in making it attractive in a grandiose way.

Incidentally, I am sending this from Amercan Samoa - Talofa rather than aloha. The polynesian language groups do have some similarities.

Hopefully I can get in a few shots to create postcards.

Wow, that is a beautiful pool! Great exposure and I really like the perspective! Kinda looks like the "Cement Pond" behind Uncle Jed's house in Beverly Hills.
